Shortly after their formation in 1997,\u00a0this\u00a0Spanish rock flamenco band\u00a0released\u00a0his first\u00a0album\u00a0“M\u00e1s all\u00e1 del sur”<\/strong>\u00a0(1999) produced by the Medina Azahara’s singer (Manuel Mart\u00ednez),\u00a0with\u00a0the video\u00a0clip\u00a0“Guitarra. Espejo de mi alma”<\/strong>.\u00a0A work that takes the influences\u00a0from\u00a0the “Rock andaluz”\u00a0of\u00a0the 70’s but with a modern view.<\/p>\n

After\u00a0touring to\u00a0present the album, the band becomes a power trio and is headliner\u00a0of the AL- LAMA festival in OUED LAOU (Tetouan –\u00a0Morocco)\u00a0for two years. In this country they filmed the\u00a0video “Las torres de babel<\/strong>“, the single of his new album:\u00a0“ALHAMBRA”<\/strong>\u00a0(2008), recorded between Majorca, Andalusia and Morocco, with the collaboration of Andalusi violinist\u00a0Nourdine Chkara and\u00a0the flamenco\u00a0musicians\u00a0Juan\u00a0Delola, Ricardo de la Concepcion and Andres Manzano.<\/p>\n

The album is\u00a0well received by the media and public, and\u00a0TAIFA<\/strong>\u00a0is headliner of the first Metalkesh festival in Marrakech. After that a new album is released:\u00a0\u201cDESPERTANDO EL SILENCIO\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>(2012).\u00a0A harder\u00a0fusion view\u00a0with the Moroccan collaboration of the Andalusian orquestra “Abnae Ziryab” (Tanger), the Gnawa band \u201cGuya Abdessalam Bouzkeri\u201d (Tetouan) and the flamenco\u00a0of\u00a0Ricardo de la Concepcion. The touring starts\u00a0in the Moroccan city of Chefchaouen\u00a0and continues\u00a0all around Spain.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1487080711142{margin-left: 4px !important;}”]Now,\u00a0first time in English,\u00a0Luis Massot<\/strong>\u00a0(vocals, bass, bouzouki and palms),\u00a0Miguel Maya<\/strong>\u00a0(guitar) and\u00a0Antonio Medina<\/strong>\u00a0(drums)\u00a0has the\u00a0great pride and excitement to\u00a0present the new album\u00a0of\u00a0TAIFA<\/strong>:\u00a0“EMBRUJO”<\/strong>\u00a0(spell).\u00a0An innovative\u00a0proposal, a\u00a0dream come true through the efforts of a group of musicians from different races, cultures and musical styles.\u00a0Deep lyrics (written\u00a0through\u00a0a trip\u00a0in\u00a0India)\u00a0with\u00a0a more powerful sound, opening up\u00a0to\u00a0new sonorities\u00a0with thecollaborations\u00a0of\u00a0the sarangi of Rafik Ahmed (India), the Moroccan Andalus\u00ed musicians Ahmed Abdelaziz (oud), Hanna Touk (Arab voice), Choubani Abdou (tar), Chaouki Omrani (darbuka), -Orquesta Abnae\u00a0wa banat\u00a0Ziryab- and Khalid Masmoudi (violin), the Mediterranean\u00a0dulzaina of\u00a0Jordi Mascarell,\u00a0and\u00a0theflamenco\u00a0of\u00a0Ricardo de la Concepci\u00f3n (piano and clapping) and\u00a0Juan\u00a0Delola (flamenco\u00a0guitar).\u00a0This time\u00a0the\u00a0video clip\u00a0has\u00a0been\u00a0directed by\u00a0the\u00a0famous\u00a0photographer Pep Bonet (Mot\u00f6rhead-\u00a0“When the sky comes looking for you”).<\/p>\n
